Still, the story of Ion Gnarr is something remarkable because of his attitude and the results which he managed to get. The story could be told in couple of words: one day one (comedy) guy got bored with all this political bullsh*t he hears everythere and decided to create his own political party (with the appropriate name - The Best Party) and give away ridicilous promises for the voters. Just to name a few: how about creating a Disneyland in Reykjavik or provide every visitor of public pool a free of charge towel? By the way, public pools are of extreme popularity in Iceland.

His open position was like a breath of fresh air for a lot of icelanders, who were also tired of current political party (Sjálfstæðisflokkurinn, you will get bored even before you could pronounce it). And suddenly, what started as a joke, got on big wheels and the things escalated very quickly. Less than a year after, Ion Gnarr will become the mayor of the capital of Iceland to the big surprise of his political opponents.

This case is interesting, because it shows how new approach could bring you amazing results even in such traditional spheres as politics. Now think how much amazing things could be achieved if we drop the shackles of conventional approach and try to look at the things from a new angle!
